We are thrilled to announce our partnership with SEA LIFE Blankenberge for this year's charity efforts. SEA LIFE Blankenberge, nestled in the same charming seaside town as where Flüüfff began its journey, is an aquatic zoo dedicated to marine conservation and education. Together we can make a positive impact on our oceans and its inhabitants.
SEA LIFE Blankenberge, part of the Merlin Entertainments Group, has been a beacon of marine conservation since its inception in 1995. With over 2,500 fascinating aquatic creatures housed in thematic aquariums, Sea Life Blankenberge offers an immersive experience for visitors of all ages. From Humboldt penguins to small-clawed otters, the diversity of marine life is awe-inspiring.
One of the standout features of SEA LIFE Blankenberge is its seal rehabilitation center, established in 1998. Over the years, the center has rescued and rehabilitated more than 400 seals, providing them with essential care before releasing them back into the wild. The dedication of the SOS Rescue Team ensures that sick and injured seal pups have a fighting chance at survival.
Beyond its rescue efforts, SEA LIFE Blankenberge is committed to marine conservation on a global scale through its association with SEA LIFE Trust. The Trust envisions a world where our oceans are healthy, protected, and teeming with diverse life. By supporting SEA LIFE Blankenberge, you are contributing to this vision and helping safeguard the future of our oceans.
This year, for the first time, SEA LIFE and Flüüfff are putting their hands together to inform people and collect money for the seal rehabilitation center in Blankenberge! Our mutual goal is to collect enough money to rehabilitate at least one lovely sea creature that found its way to our Belgium shores.
