Chat Moderator - Public Relations (PR) department
Closed for applications As a Chat Moderator, you help maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful atmosphere in the official Flüüfff Telegram chats. You oversee conversations, admit new members, and step in when moderation is required.
You help ensure that the chat spaces remain aligned with Flüüfff’s values and community guidelines.
Your responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the official Flüüfff Telegram chat and/or the official NSFW Telegram chat
- Approving or declining new chat members
- Identifying and removing bots or inappropriate accounts
- Intervening in conflicts or rule violations when necessary
- Supporting a positive and respectful chat environment
Your role in the team
You are a community guardian within the PR team, working together with other moderators to maintain a healthy chat environment.
In this role, you:
- Regularly follow conversations in the chat
- Communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully
- Apply the chat rules consistently and fairly
- Stay neutral during disagreements and help de-escalate conflicts
- Know when to escalate more serious issues to the PR Head or relevant department
You might be a good fit if
- You are fluent in English. It is a plus if you are also fluent in French, Dutch, or German.
- You enjoy being active in Telegram group chats
- You naturally keep track of ongoing conversations
- You can remain calm and level-headed during conflicts
- You value fairness and consistency
- You are comfortable setting boundaries when needed

- Other department leads if specific issues need escalation
Time commitment
This role requires regular and consistent check-ins throughout the year.
- Daily or frequent weekly checks of the Telegram chats
- Prompt approval of new members
- Monitoring for bots, rule violations, or conflicts
- Increased attentiveness during peak periods (e.g. ticket sales, convention days)
Moderation is shared among the team, so availability is coordinated to ensure coverage.
