As Press Liaison, you manage communication between Flüüfff and external media. You act as the primary point of contact for journalists and press, ensuring that accurate, clear, and timely information about the convention is shared.

You help present Flüüfff in a professional, consistent, and approachable way, both before and during the convention.

Your role in the team

As Press Liaison, you will:

Act as the main contact person for journalists and media inquiries
Respond to press emails and information requests in a timely manner
Apply and distribute the Flüüfff press kit where appropriate
Coordinate interviews and media requests
Ensure consistent, accurate, and approved information is shared externally
Liaise internally to gather the correct information when needed

You don’t need to know everything yourself, but you know who to ask and how to follow up.

You might be a good fit if

You are fluent in English. It is a plus if you are also fluent in French, Dutch, or German.
You communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally
You are approachable and comfortable speaking to new people
You have strong people and communication skills
You can represent Flüüfff in a positive and accurate way
You are open to being “the face” in an interview, or can confidently identify and coordinate the right spokesperson

Who you’ll be working with

The PR department
Stewards & Safety (when relevant for public or safety-related communication)
The HR lead
Other department leads as needed for accurate information

Time commitment

This role is mostly active around the convention, with limited but important involvement throughout the year.

Outside of the convention period: Low and irregular time commitment, mainly responding to occasional media requests or preparing press materials.

In the weeks leading up to the convention: Availability increases as press interest grows. Timely responses and coordination become more important.

During the convention: This is the peak period. You may handle incoming media requests, coordinate interviews, and act as a direct contact point on-site.

This role suits someone who can be responsive during peak moments, while communicating availability clearly and responsibly.
