Getting to the venue

There are many ways to get to the venue by train, bus and/or tram! Here's a quick guide to prepare for your trip.

By train

The biggest station of Antwerp is Antwerpen Centraal. This station acts as a terminus for most national trains. It also gets international traffic. If you come from abroad, you can take these trains without an interchange in Brussels:

  • European Sleeper: Night train between Brussels and Prague.
Also stops in Berlin. 3 trains weekly.
    Book tickets here: europeansleeper.eu
  • Eurostar: A high speed train between Paris and Amsterdam.
    Book tickets here: eurostar.com
  • EuroCity Direct: A high speed train going through Lelystad, Amsterdam and Brussels. 16 trains daily.
    Book tickets here: nsinternational.com/en/out-and-about/eurocity-direct
  • EuroCity: The slower, but cheaper Belgian version of the EuroCity Direct.
Starts from Rotterdam and ends in Brussels. 16 trains daily.
    Book tickets here: b-europe.com/EN/Trains/EuroCity
  • If you come from Roosendaal, the local train S32 takes you to Antwerp.
  • ICE: A high speed train connecting Köln with Antwerp. 2 trains daily.

If you arrive by plane and land at Brussels Airport Zavemtem, there is a direct train to Antwerp every half an hour.

Be aware that a similarly named airport Brussels South Airport Charleroi does not have any train connections; the trip would involve buses or trams and will take at least 2.5h.

There is also a smaller station just a 20 minute walk from the hotel called Antwerpen-Zuid. This one gets the S32 Puurs - Essen/Roosendaal, S34 Dendermonde - Antwerpen-Berchem, the IC De Panne - Antwerpen Centraal, and the IC Oostende - Antwerpen Centraal.

By tram

When getting off at Antwerpen Centraal, you can take the following connections:
Go to the underground tram stop named Diamant Metro And take either Tram 2 towards Zwaantjes or Tram 6 to P+R Olympiade. The tram stop nearest to the hotel is DeSingel and is located right around the corner. Both trams take the same route, giving you a tram every 5 minutes. Antwerp has a vast network of buses and trams, please check delijn.be for more info and tickets.

Do I need to stay at the hotel to attend Flüüfff?
No, staying at the hotel is optional. You can attend the convention with a convention ticket without booking accommodation at the venue.
Are there places to eat near the venue?
Yes. There are many restaurants and cafés within walking distance of the hotel, ranging from quick bites to full dining options.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The hotel is wheelchair accessible and equipped to accommodate guests with accessibility needs.
Can I arrive before check-in or stay after check-out?
Yes, but your room may not be available yet or no longer accessible. The hotel can usually store your luggage so you can still enjoy the convention.
Do I need to book accommodation through Flüüfff to stay at the hotel?

No. You are free to arrange your own accommodation.

You can book a room at the venue independently, as long as you have a valid convention ticket, or choose to stay at a different hotel entirely.

However, rooms booked through Flüüfff are part of a negotiated group rate and are therefore more advantageous. Booking separately will likely result in higher prices and does not guarantee availability within the convention block.

Can I choose who I share a room with?
Yes. Rooms are booked by one person, who is responsible for the booking and can choose who to share it with.
Is the hotel exclusively for Flüüfff attendees?
During the convention, most of the hotel will be occupied by attendees, creating a shared and immersive atmosphere. There is, however, a limited amount of external visitors present at the hotel.
Are food and drinks available at the venue?
Yes. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, and there are many additional options nearby within walking distance.
How do I get around Antwerp during the convention?
Antwerp has an extensive network of trams and buses. The nearest tram stop (DeSingel) connects you easily to the city centre and other areas.
Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, the hotel offers limited on-site indoor parking. Parking costs €22 per day and is subject to availability. Electric vehicle charging stations are also available.

We also recommended parking at any of the nearby public parkings that are close to the venue.
